Monroe Economic Development Announces New Arts & Culture Council
The Monroe Arts and Culture Council said they are committed to enriching and enhancing the many art and cultural assets throughout the town.
MONROE, CT — The Monroe Economic Development Commission announced Wednesday that the Monroe Arts and Culture Council has launched a new arts council through the collaborative efforts of the Arts Council, Two Planks Theater Company, Save our Stepney, the Monroe Historical Society, the Edith Wheeler Memorial Library, the Parks and Recreation Department, the schools and the community.
"We are committed to enriching and enhancing our many art and cultural assets throughout our town and our region," the Monroe EDC said in a statement.
The Monroe Arts and Culture Council said on their newly created Facebook page: "Monroe has many accomplished artists, musicians, dancers, the DaVinci Festival and Two Planks Theater Company. We have many Parks, Trails, Lakes and rich farming, manufacturing and military history. We also have various Festivals, a Farmers Market and many other Cultural events year round that make Monroe a unique community. We hope to see you soon!"
