Monroe Man Arrested for Heroin Dealing After Woman's Overdose: Police

BREAKING: The 21-year-old man faces multiple charges in connection with an overdose on July 2.

MONROE, CT — Police arrested a local man who they say sold heroin to a woman who suffered from an overdose on July 2. Nicholas Ludwig, 21, faces charges of drug distribution and reckless endangerment after police found a woman unresponsive and suffering from an overdose.

Police say officers administered Narcan on scene and revived the woman. Investigators later found the woman bought the heroin from Ludwig at his home on Block Farm Road.

"The Monroe Police Department will continue to investigate overdose cases and hold the seller/dealer accountable for their actions," read a press release from the Monroe Police Department.

Ludwig was arrested Tuesday and charged him with assault, illegal manufacture, distribution, sale of drugs and reckless endangerment. He was held on a $250,000 and is due in court Wednesday.
