Monroe Man Caught with Multiple Stolen Credit Cards: Police
The Monroe man is a suspect in multiple credit card theft cases in Fairfield County, police said.

FAIRFIELD, CT—A man who is a suspect in multiple credit card fraud cases was arrested by officers July 13, according to Trumbull Police.
Police pulled a vehicle over on Main Street in Trumbull when its registration didn't check out, police said.
The driver, Corey Roberts, 25, of Monroe couldn't produce a valid registration or insurance and his license was suspended. An officer smelled marijuana and noticed a red grinder.

Roberts had several credit cards in his wallet that didn't belong to him, police said. He said he just came from Target and the car was filled with merchandise.
Police learned that Roberts was a suspect in two Fairfield cases for credit card fraud along with another Trumbull case.

He had an Apple iWatch on with a serial number that was purchased from a previous Trumbull case with a fraudulent card, police said.
He made $912 worth of purchases at Target with a credit card that belongs to a Fairfield woman, according to police. Her card was stolen when her car was broken into.
He was charged with seven counts of receiving goods with an illegal use of a credit card, seven counts of illegal use of a credit card, two counts of credit card theft, sixth-degree larceny, conspiracy to commit fifth-degree larceny, possession of marijuana and several motor vehicle violations.
More arrest warrants are expected in the future for other cases, police said.
