MONROE, CT — The Connecticut Department of Transportation announced that they will be doing evening milling and resurfacing on Route 34 in Newtown and Monroe this weekend. Resurfacing of a 3-and-a-half-mile-segment of Route 34 on Berkshire Road in Newtown and Monroe.   Motorists should prepare for lane closures on Rt. 34 between Washington Street and Rt. 111 Friday and Saturday night.
