Obituary: Anne M. Young, 96, of Monroe
She leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness and friendship to all she met and will be missed by all that ever knew her loving embrace.
Anne Marsha Young of Monroe, CT was reunited in heaven with her beloved husband, Jack on Friday, May 5. Anne was born in Bridgeport, Connecticut on January 10, 1921. She was the only child of Joseph and Magdalena Skiba, both of whom came to America from Poland.
She attended St. Michael's School in Bridgeport where she was President of the Junior Guild. She graduated from the Butler Business School in 1939 after which she worked as Executive Secretary to the President of The Producto Machine Company. After raising her family she returned to work as a bookkeeper at Acme Abercrombie Co. in Bridgeport.
Anne is survived by two sons and their families. Jan Andrew Young of Yardley, PA, his wife Shelley and their two children Victoria and Andrew and Joel Young of Farmington, CT, his wife Vivian and their daughter Alexandra.

She showed her love of family and friends in many ways, her favorite being baking and sharing her honey and raisin cookies. She was an active parishioner at St. Stephen's Church in Trumbull where she served with the Rosary Alter Society.

Friends and family may call on Wednesday May 10th from 5 to 8 pm at the Spadaccino Funeral Home, Monroe, CT. A mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Stephen's Roman Catholic Church in Trumbull at 10 am on May 11th.
