Obituary: Maureen S. Grobali, 72, of Monroe

Maureen S. Groballi, 72, of Monroe, died Thursday, August 10 at Bridgeport Hospital, the same place where she was born. She is survived by her loving husband of over 54 years, Gurtali I. Groballi, her daughter Gwen Rice, her son Kelli, his wife Jennifer, granddaughters Skye and Star (Shelton), her brothers and sister Stephen Siksay (Vienna, VA) , LeRoy Siksay (Seymour), Lorraine Godfrey (Ansonia), Richard Siksay, Jr (Stratford) along with many nieces and nephews. Maureen graduated from St. Cyril and Methodius School in Bridgeport and worked most of her life as a stenographer. She retired from the USPS in 2003. She loved reading, going to the Wolfe Park pool and having delicious food. She enjoyed her yard filled with flowers and vegetables grown by her husband but most of all she loved her family. She is predeceased by her beloved grandson Sean Rice, her parents Mary and Richard Siksay, her sisters Mary Siksay and Judith Santone.
Visitation will be at Spadaccino and Leo P Gallagher & Son Community Funeral Home, 315 Monroe Turnpike, Monroe on Monday August 14th from 4 pm to 7 pm. A graveside service will be at St. John's, 500 Moose Hill Rd, Monroe at 10 am Tuesday,August 15th.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Peter's Playground Fund, 175 Old Tannery Rd, Monroe, CT.Online condolences may be made at www.spadaccinofuneralhome.com.
