Obituary: William M. Stafford, 53, Formerly of Monroe

"Bill was a friendly, kind and caring person and will be greatly missed by all."

William M. Stafford, age 53, of Stratford, entered eternal peace on June 9, 2017. Bill was born in Bridgeport November 11, 1963, beloved son of the late William and Joan (Stroomer) Stafford.

Bill resided in Stratford, but was raised in Monroe, graduating from Masuk High School. He worked for 21 years in Sales for Pepsi Cola. He enjoyed working out, riding his bike around the Lordship shoreline, and doing beautiful remodeling projects around his property. Bill was a friendly, kind and caring person and will be greatly missed by all.

Bill is survived by his siblings, Susan Stafford of Stratford, Daniel Stafford and his wife Shari of Monroe, Beth Pierce and her husband Craig of Hudson, WI, Cynthia Thiara of San Francisco, CA and Theresa Belotti and her husband Andrew of Monroe. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews, Danny and Ryan Stafford, Ben and Jack Pierce, Bill and Lexie Belotti and Savannah Thiara and two cousins, Sandi and JR Stroomer. “Our Brother – In Our Hearts Always.”

Friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass of Christian Burial celebrated by Father Nicholas Pavia on Thursday, June 15, 2017 at 9:30 a.m. by meeting directly in Our Lady of Peace Church, 651 Stratford Road, Lordship. Interment will be private.

Friends may visit with his family Wednesday, June 14, 2017 from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the William R. McDonald Funeral Home, 2591 Main St. Stratford.In lieu of flowers, donations in Bill's memory may be made to either the St. Vincent Medical Center, Swim Across the Sound Program, 2800 Main Street, Bridgeport, CT 06606 or the Stratford Animal Rescue Society, (STARS), P.O. Box 1371, Stratford CT 06615.
