Police Make a DUI Arrest on Route 59

An Easton man was arrested for DUI on Route 59, near the Easton town line, at around 9:52 p.m. on June 22. 

Daniel Magner, 24, of Sanford Drive was also charged with excessive noise for his exhaust system. He was released on $500 bond for a July 2 court date.

Officers observed an erratic vehicle heading south on Main Street crossing the double yellow line several times before stopping it on Route 59, near the Easton town line, according to the report.

Police said the strong odor of an alcoholic beverage was detected on Magner and field sobriety tests led to his arrest. At headquarters, breath tests determined his blood alcohol level was over the legal limit, police said.
