'Come to Spend the Whole Night. It Will be Fun.'
Masuk's annual Post Prom Party will be held this Friday from 11:30 p.m. until 3:30 a.m. Volunteers are still needed.

Masuk High School was transformed to a magical land of Fairytales for the Post Prom Party last year, with characters from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Sleeping Beauty and Cinderella by the entrance and throughout the school hallways. This Friday, members of the public are invited to see the new decorations from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. before Post Prom Party 2013 starts at 11:30.
The party for juniors and seniors won't end until 3:30 a.m.
During Wednesday morning's Mock Crash, Patti Ochsendorf shared details about this year's party with students.

The prom will be at The Waterview in Monroe Friday and the Post Prom is meant to provide an opportunity for good, clean fun after the big dance.
"We hope to see you Friday night and, again, please make good decisions. Come to spend the whole night," Ochsendorf told them. "It will be fun."

The free annual event is made possible by the generous donations of townspeople and businesses, and by the hundreds of hours of work by volunteers, according to Ochsendorf.
Volunteers are still needed. Those who are interested should contact Patti Ochsendorf at rochsendorf@snet.net or by calling 203-452-9757.
Food, Games, Photos ...
The party is free for all Masuk juniors and seniors, as well as their prom dates and registered prom dates. When they arrive, only the main gate by the guardhouse will be open and once they leave the Post Prom, students will not be allowed to re-enter.
Organizers have arranged a huge spread of food and drinks that will be available in the cafeteria, games will be played in the gym and prizes will be awarded every 15 minutes.
Ochsendorf said there will be photo opportunities throughout the night with a photo booth to capture memories with friends. Jim Spinnato, a hypnotist/comedian, will get students onstage for an interactive performance scheduled to take place in the auditorium at 1 a.m.
D.J. Castillo will be in the chorus room for music and dancing all night long, and games in the gym this year include a giant twister, Defender Dome, slot cars, ping pong tables and other games. The event will also have a tattoo artist.
Prizes All Night Long
Every student who attends the Post Prom will automatically be entered for a chance to win prizes in the showcase.
The major senior prizes include a dorm prize with a 22-inch TV, a CamJam and a gift card to Bed, Bath & Beyond. Among the other prizes are a Jambox by Jawbone and a $250 gift card to Ticketmaster.
Juniors' prizes include a Jambox by Jawbone and two full year parking passes.
Winners of the larger prizes will be announced around 1:30 a.m. and you must be present at Post Prom to claim it, according to Ochsendorf.
To see if they won any of the smaller prizes, students can follow @masukpromprizes on Twitter. There will also be a listing of the prizes on a board at the Post Prom.
A Scavenger Hunt
A new wrinkle to this year's party will be a scavenger hunt with over 75 prizes awarded throughout the evening.
Just by participating in the various games and events, students will be eligible to win prizes. They must collect an item from nine different locations to be eligible for the grand prize, an Apple iPad Mini.
Ochsendorf said the winner of the grand prize will be announced on Monday morning.
She said students are asked not to bring any valuables, because there are no safe places to store items. Students should also not bring backpacks, large bags or purses, Ochsendorf added.
She said no food or drink may be brought in from the outside and all school rules apply. All students are encouraged to dress comfortably.
