Probate Court May Move from Trumbull to Monroe
The probate court that serves Monroe, Easton and Trumbull may soon get a new home.
TRUMBULL, CT— The probate court currently located in Trumbull may move to Monroe in the future.
The court serves Monroe, Easton and Trumbull and the new proposed location is Chalk Hill in Monroe, according to the Trumbull Times. The building was occupied by the Sandy Hook school from Newtown while its new building was being built.
Some concern was expressed at a Monroe Board of Education meeting about security issues because Jockey Hollow Middle School uses the building and parking lot. The state would have to determine whether to grant the move request.
