Sally Simpson Redston, age 82, Passed Away

Sally was as a Special Education Teacher for over 30 years.

MONROE, CT — Sally Simpson Redston, age 82, entered Heaven on July 22, 2016. She was the daughter of the late Vinita and Laurence P. Simpson and is survived by her sister Susan Garman of Pleasonton, CA; her children, Wendy and Thomas Larsen, Peter and Penny Oudheusden, Lauren Oudheusden and Julie and William Fitzgerald; her grandchildren, Bryant, Brooke and Kelley Larsen and Scott, Gregory and Heather Oudheusden and her great-grandchildren Dylan, Emma, Chase, Gabby, Levi and Taylor Larsen.

Sally lived in Rye, NY and Old Greenwich, CT for most of her life and later moved to Oronoque Village in Stratford, CT. She graduated from Wheelock College in 1956 and earned two masters in Education from Fairfield University. Sally was as a Special Education Teacher at Hamilton Avenue School in Greenwich, CT for over 30 years. Sally loved the water, music, weekend scenic drives and eating out with her children.

Relatives and friends are invited to a Memorial Service to be held on Friday, August 5, 2016 at 6:00 p.m. at the First Congregational Church of Old Greenwich, CT, 108 Sound Beach Avenue, Old Greenwich, CT. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to YMCA of Greenwich, CT, 50 East Putnam Avenue, Greenwich, CT 06830, www.greenwichYMCA.org.
