Snowflakes Flutter in from Around the World
Sandy Hook Elementary School shared two boxes full of snowflakes with Fawn Hollow Elementary School.
When Sandy Hook School children and staff moved into Chalk Hill in Monroe following the horrific shooting at their school in December, people from all over the world donated snowflake art to the school. Tanya Lennon, co-president of the Fawn Hollow Elementary School PTO, said so many flakes were donated that Sandy Hook decided to share two boxes full with her child's school.
The snowflakes, which hail from places like England, Germany, Las Vegas and Illinois, can be seen on display outside the Fawn Hollow Elementary School cafeteria and on a wall inside.
