Sippin Energy on Main Street reported the theft of a $1,000 trenching bucket July 10.
Police said the 12-inch trenching bucket is used with a Caterpillar backhoe and weighs between 300-400 pounds.
The bucket was actually missing a week ago, but the owner asked workers about it before filing a theft complaint, according to police.
