This Week's Monroe Traffic Advisory
Monroe Public Works reminds drivers to slow down for work zones.

The Monroe Public Works Department has announced there will be delays on several town roads as work is performed from today until July 5.
Much of the work has an impact rating of two, meaning drivers can expect major delays with only emergency vehicles, school buses and local vehicles gaining access to the road. Others should seek alternate routes.
That work includes:
- Chip sealing on Judd Road from Main Street to Hattertown Road.
- Chip sealing on Guinea Road from Hattertown Road to the Newtown town line.
- Chip sealing on BarnHill Road from GreenfieldHill Road to East Village Road.
- Paving on Blueberry Hill Road from Purdy Hill Road to the cul‐de‐sac.
- Paving on Old Tannery Road from Route 110 to Route 110.
Roadwork with a rating of three, meaning minor work with a lane closure and some delays, includes:
- Paving on Spring Hill Road from Route 111 to the Trumbull town line.
- Drainage work on Old Newtown Road from Purdy Hill Road to Pepper Street.
- Environmental work on Garder Road from Pepper Street to Applegate Lane.
Work hours are typically Monday to Friday, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m., depending on weather conditions and available manpower.
