Thunderstorms May Limit Today's Options

A few ideas of things to do this Thursday, Aug. 1.

Monroe AccuWeather: A couple of thunderstorms are forecast for today with heavy rain and a thunderstorm tonight. The temperature will have a high of 77-degrees and a lot of 64, according to accuweather.com.

Teen Art Contest Put-Up: The library is holding a contest for teens entering 7th-12th grade. Drop off your Beneath the Surface themed artwork in the Ehlers Meeting Room any time from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. For more information, click here.

A Family Barbecue: The Center for Women and Families, which has a satellite office at Monroe Town Hall, will benefit from a barbecue fundraiser in Stratford today at Pavilion One at Short Beach from 5 to 8 p.m.

Easton Carnival: The Easton Firemen's Carnival is tonight from 6-11 p.m. — weather permitting — and will be held every night until Saturday. To make sure the event is still on, visit its Facebook page.

Farmers' Market's Friday: The weekly Monroe Farmers' Market will be back tomorrow from 3 to 6 p.m.
