Two Cars Stolen in Monroe: Police

Breaking: Police say that there has been another rash of break-ins in town, as well as two stolen cars this week.

MONROE, CT — Police are urging residents once again to lock their cars and vehicles at night after two cars were stolen in town this week, the department announced on Facebook Thursday. Police say that they have been investigating another rash of vehicle break-ins and car thefts in towns.

"Do not leave your keys or any other valuable items inside," wrote the Facebook post."It is happening all over our town and all over Fairfield County. Our patrol officers are working tirelessly to stop this and our detectives are working with other departments experiencing the same problem. Police have issued several warnings to residents of the issue, and say the most recent incident was reported this morning.
