A Valley View Road woman told police on June 19 that her mother’s bank account was overdrawn for $874.85 worth of car payments, even though she resides in an assisted living facility, does not own a car and does not have any past payments due for a vehicle.
People’s United Bank reimbursed the victim for the deductions, but police are investigating how the charges appeared on the account in the first place. Police said the payments went to "Professional Fin. Auto Finan" dating back to January of 2013.
