27 Cats In Need Of 'Immediate Placement': Naugatuck Animal Control
Naugatuck Animal Control said approximately 27 cats are in need of immediate placement after "assisting with an overwhelmed caregiver."
NAUGATUCK, CT — Approximately 27 cats are currently in need of immediate placement, according to Naugatuck Animal Control.
In a Facebook post Tuesday, animal control said the cats are in need of placement after the department "[assisted] with an overwhelmed caregiver."
According to animal control, the long hair cats are a mix of males and females and range in age from 4 months to 3 years old.

Oranges, black, tabbies and grays are all available as of Tuesday, according to animal control.
Each cat will also be spayed or neutered, as well as FIV/FELV tested and vaccinated, animal control noted.

"Please note these cats have only socialized with each other and one person within a home their whole lives," the post reads. "They are not outgoing (yet) or 'cuddly.' They are scared and will need time to decompress."
The department encourages any rescues or barn homes able to assist to reach out to Naugatuck Animal Control immediately by phone at 203-528-1580 or email at animalcontrol@naugatuckpd.gov.
Anyone looking to adopt one of the cats is asked to fill out an application.
