ID Released In Fatal Crash Involving 3 Motorcycles, 1 Car: Naugatuck Police
A second motorcyclist suffered critical injuries in the crash.

NAUGATUCK, CT — A 22-year-old Naugatuck resident was killed while a 20-year-old local resident was critically injured in a 4-vehicle crash Friday night, police said.
At 8:47 p.m. Friday, emergency responders were called to a "serious injury crash" involving one car and three motorcycles in the area of 848 New Haven Road, police said.
The Naugatuck Valley Collision Investigation team (NVCIT), which is the regional traffic crash reconstruction unit, consists of officers from the towns of Cheshire, Middlebury, Naugatuck, Plymouth, Watertown and Wolcott, police said. Naugatuck Police Officer Elvis Vasquez is lead investigator.

"The initial investigation shows (a 76-year-old Naugatuck woman) was traveling Southbound on New Haven Road when preliminary evidence indicates the vehicle crossed into the Northbound lane, sideswiped another vehicle and struck two motorcycles in the Northbound lane of New Haven Road," police said in a news release. "A third motorcycle crashed while taking evasive action to avoid the collision. The operator of one of the motorcycles, Travis Larowe (22) was transported to St. Mary's Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
The operator of another motorcycle, a 20-year-old Naugatuck resident, was transported to the hospital where he is in critical but stable condition, police said. The operator of the third motorcycle was taken to the hospital, where he was treated for minor injuries, police said.

The investigation into the cause of the collision remains ongoing. Any witnesses to the
