Amazon Imposter ‘Brazenly’ Steals Package From Home: Naugatuck Police

NAUGATUCK, CT — Police are asking for help with identifying a person accused of posing as an Amazon delivery driver and stealing a package from a home in Naugatuck on Thursday afternoon.
The incident happened around 4 p.m. Aug. 28 in the area of Aetna Street, according to police.
Police said a suspect dressed as an Amazon delivery driver “brazenly stole a package from a front porch.”

“The suspect approached the residence dressed in an Amazon uniform, giving the appearance of a legitimate delivery,” police wrote in a news release. “Instead of leaving a package, the suspect took a package from the doorstep and quickly fled the scene. The suspect was last seen driving a tan Honda Accord with a temporary paper license plate.
“The Naugatuck Police remind the public to keep track of their scheduled deliveries and be cautious of unfamiliar individuals wearing delivery attire. We urge residents to use security cameras and report any suspicious activity to the police.”
