Asphalt Milling, Paving Begins On Naugatuck Road: Police
Police said road closures are expected in this area, as well as heavy traffic delays in the surrounding areas due to construction.
NAUGATUCK, CT — Asphalt milling and paving began on a portion of Rubber Avenue this week and road closures and delays are expected, according to police.
In a Facebook post Tuesday, police said Rubber Avenue between Melbourne Street and Meadow Street is being asphalt milled, the road lowered and paved over the next few weeks.
According to police, complete road closures are expected in this area, as well as heavy traffic delays in the surrounding areas due to construction.

Drivers are asked to seek alternate routes of travel and allow for extra time, according to police.
Police also noted this work brings them one step closer to the completion of construction and thanked the community for their patience.
