Blue Mountain Bike Park, Pennsylvania’s Largest, Opens Friday, June 7; Wine Fest Delights Wine and Music Lovers on Saturday, June 8 and Sunday, June 9

PALMERTON, Penn. – Blue Mountain Resort in Palmerton, Penn., kicks off summer this weekend with two exciting experiences for a scenic Poconos celebration. The action-packed Downhill Bike Park opens for the season on Friday, June 7, providing thrilling biking adventures. On Saturday, June 8, and Sunday, June 9, the resort invites wine enthusiasts, ages 21 and over, and their friends to attend Wine Fest. The event features fine wine tastings from 15 outstanding local wineries, live musical entertainment, and delicious wine-friendly fare available for purchase.

Season Opening of Blue Mountain Resort’s Famed Downhill Mountain Bike Park
Friday, June 7, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
At Pennsylvania’s largest Bike Park, riders of all levels are thrilled by the Park’s Gnarly Berms, Chutes and Booters, and there are 29 thrilling bike trails to navigate – including Ripple and The Swartz, rated the most difficult jump trail. For beginners, Shakedown Street is a wide three-mile-long trail with a gentle grade and easy turns. All trails are serviced by the high-speed Comet Quad Lift. Photography and posting of bike mountainscape adventures are a must!

June 8 – August 25, Thursdays & Fridays, from Noon to 6 p.m.; Saturdays & Sundays, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Labor Day, Monday, September 2, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
August 30 – October 27, Fridays, from Noon to 5 p.m.; Saturdays & Sundays, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Columbus Day, Monday, October 14, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Adult Day Tickets are $55 for adults (16+) and $40 for youths (15 and under) and can be purchased online. All riders must wear a certified bike helmet and present a signed release form. Season passes, day tickets, bike rentals and lessons are available.

Blue Mountain Resort’s Annual Wine Fest
Saturday, June 8, and Sunday, June 9, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
This special Wine Fest delivers wine tasting of delightful seasonal sips from Soaked Winery, Cellar Beast Winehouse, Sleepy Cat Urban Winery, Sand Castle Winery, Tolino Vineyards, Mount Bethel Farms, Vineyard Hill Cellars, King Cole Winery, Rowan Asher Winery, J&P Winery, Stone Lake Winery, Lucchi Family Wine Cellars, Armstrong Valley Winery, Clever Girl Winery and Grovedale Winery. Attendees receive a commemorative wine glass.

Memorable band performances feature The Chain Fleetwood Mac Tribute Band on June 8, from Noon to 4 p.m. and Danny V’s 52nd Street Band, a tribute to Billy Joel, on June 9 from Noon to 4 p.m. Yummy bites for purchase and select vendors will be there.
