The Crazy Aaron’s products are interactive, reusable, and sugar-free, and they’re also small enough to hand out to trick-or-treaters, which makes them an ideal candy alternative.
Crazy Aaron’s, established in 1998, is celebrating 25 years of fun. Crazy Aaron Enterprises is located in Norristown, PA. Their motto is “At Crazy Aaron’s, we’re proud to create innovative products that inspire curiosity for people.”

I was able to check out the 2 inch mini tin of Skeleton Glow “Thinking Putty.” It arrived well-sealed in a tiny silver tin, the orange putty topped with a plastic “Crazy Aaron’s Official Seal of Approval.” I found it fun to knead the product and watch the tiny skeleton heads rotate through the orange putty and potentially glow in the dark.
This made in the USA product is recommended for ages 3 and up, because the small parts present a choking hazard. It also contains a warning that the product should not be used as ear plugs and may stick to clothing, hair and fabric, and may contain colorant that can stain.

I also got to use the company’s “Land of Dough” brand of Trick or Treat handcrafted play dough. The USA-made product is sold in a small, colorful paper carton and in honor of the holiday is a mix of red and orange “reimagined” colored dough. The top of the carton arrived sealed in plastic to keep the product soft.
The dough is not for eating and contains wheat.
Both of these items would be great to hand out to trick or treaters. If anyone is looking for something that is not candy to distribute, these items will definitely fit the bill.
