Driver Hits Stroller With 2 Kids Inside In Waterbury: Police

The motorist fled the scene and an investigation is ongoing, according to police.

WATERBURY, CT β€” Police are searching for a driver who struck a stroller with two young children inside Thursday morning and then left the scene.

Sgt. Joseph Morais said the accident happened around 6:21 a.m. on Bishop Street.

The two children in the stroller are ages one and four, and neither had any apparent injuries, according to Morais.

Both were transported to an area hospital as a precaution, he said.

The vehicle is described as a dark blue work van with ladders on the top, according to police.
