Daytime was decidedly for families, but when the sun set each day, America’s First Amusement Park transformed into a world of fright with Project Nightmare, the park’s newest and most terrifying haunted attraction, and several returning fan-favorites.

Families came out in force to be part of the closing weekend of daytime Halloween fun.

A highlight of the weekend was the park’s annual Kids’ Costume Parade held on Sunday. All the little goblins and ghouls who had registered at the entrance to the park got the chance to show off their Halloween costumes as they marched through the park. for a chance to win FREE 2026 Season Passes, Holiday Lights ’25 tickets, or a sweet treat!

At the conclusion of the parade, guests gathered in the cleared Spookly Storytime area to crown the winner of the best costume. Prizes included free 2026 Season Passes, Holiday Lights ’25 tickets, and sweet treats.

There were also the usual rides in Kiddie Land, crafts, treats and fall festivities from 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.

The fear kicked into gear at 6 p.m. each evening. After dark, the scares turned up in the five haunted houses and two scare zones.

This was the final chance for guests to experience this must-see Halloween tradition before it vanished for the season. Until next fall…
