Halloween Road Closures Announced For Naugatuck: Police

Police have announced a number of road closures that will be in effect Thursday, Oct. 31, as Naugatuck residents safely celebrate Halloween.

NAUGATUCK, CT — Naugatuck police have announced a number of road closures that will be in effect Thursday, Oct. 31, as the areas of Millville Avenue and Quinn Street celebrate Halloween.

In a Facebook post, police said officers and fire police will be present in the area from 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

The road closures aim to help keep everyone safe as families enjoy Halloween in Naugatuck, police said.

The following roads will be closed Thursday, according to police:

  • Millville Avenue at Walnut Street
  • Millville Avenue at May Avenue
  • Millville Avenue at Park Avenue
  • Millville Avenue at Dunn Avenue
  • Millville Avenue at Quinn Street
  • Millville Avenue at Fern Street
  • Millville Avenue at Hoadley Street
  • Fern Street at Cottage Street
  • Chestnut Street at Quinn Street
  • Park Avenue at Grove Street
  • May Avenue at Grove Street
  • Walnut Terrace at Walnut Street

Officers will shut down roads surrounding Millville Avenue at 4:30 p.m. and will manage the traffic closures until 8:30 p.m., according to police.

"Parking is limited as this is a residential area," police said on Facebook. "Be ready to walk."
