"Machinal" by Sophie Treadwell

She is a cog in a machine she did not build. In Sophie Treadwell’s Machinal, one woman’s life is shaped and ultimately shattered by the mechanized forces of modern society. This visceral, physical production explores the collapse of a soul forced to submit to the grinding pressures of labor, gender, and social expectation. Inspired by the 1928 true crime case of Ruth Snyder and told with the cold precision of an assembly line, Machinal asks: what happens when the need to get free outweighs the unthinkable cost? This production runs in the Mainstage Theatre from November 21-23.
Chamber Singers and University Singers

Dr. Kevin Isaacs will be conducting his final Chamber Singers concert at WCSU. He has conducted the chamber singers since 1990. Join us for this special concert as we wish Dr. Isaacs a wonderful retirement. Chamber Singers is directed by Dr. Kevin Jay Isaacs and University Singers is directed by Jeremy Wiggins.

Holiday Pops
December 6 and 7 at 3 PM
A joyously festive event to get you and your loved ones in the holiday spirit! Join the WCSU Department of Music for an afternoon of holiday music, featuring performances by the Percussion Ensemble, University Choir, Chamber Ensembles, Symphonic Band, Wind Ensemble, and more (as well as special guests from the WCSU community!). Proceeds from the event benefit the Ana Grace Marquez Greene and Dave Smith Scholarships. Afterwards, join us for some holiday treats. And be sure to purchase your limited edition Holiday Pops ornament!
