Naugatuck Teen Killed In Motorcycle Crash, ID Released

BEACON FALLS, CT — Ethan Dane Viele, 19, of Naugatuck, was killed in a crash in Beacon Falls, state police said.

At 11:52 a.m. Friday, state police responded to the area of 194 Beacon Valley Road for a reported car versus motorcycle crash, state police said.

Preliminary investigation revealed that a 2001 Chevrolet Tahoe driven by a Naugatuck resident was traveling east on Beacon Valley Road, approximately one-tenth of a mile east of its intersection with Beacon Manner Road, state police said.

Viele, who was driving a motorcycle, was traveling west on Beacon Valley Road in the same area, state police said.

The motorcycle "encroached into the eastbound travel lane and impacted" the Tahoe, causing Viele to fall off the motorcycle, state police said.

Viele was taken to the hospital and was later pronounced dead, state police said.
