Naugatuck Woman Charged in Shoplifting Case: Police

Police say the two women were found after they made off in a silver pickup truck.

NEWTOWN, CT — Two out-of-town women were arrested for shoplifting from the Olympia Sporting Goods Store on South Main Street last week, according to police. Officers say Erica Elizabeth Drummond, 31, of Waterbury and Samantha Bombardier, 24, of Naugatuck were arrested and brought to the Newtown Police Department on July 7.

Police say the responded to the store for a reported shop liftng, and learned that a female suspect later identified as Drummond left the store in a silver pickup truck. The two were later arrested and charged in connection with the shoplifting.

Drummond was charged with larceny in the sixth degree and conspiracy to commit larceny. Bombardier was charged with conspiracy to commit larceny. Both are due in court on June 25.
