Naugatuck-Mary Ann (Orrell) Mizeski, age 76, beloved wife of John Mizeski, passed away peacefully on Monday June 23, 2025 surrounded by her loved ones in the comfort of her home.

Born in Orange, CT on September 13, 1948, she was the daughter of the late William F. and Mabel (Shaw) Orrell. She had retired from Teamsters Local 1150 in Stratford, where she had been office manager and bookkeeper for 20 years. Mary Ann was graduate of Amity High School class of 1966.

A devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother, she is survived by her loving family, son Joshua Dow of Lakeland, FL; her seven grandchildren Barry (Cara) Staples, Virginia Staples, Tricia and Darnell Jennings, Yasmine, Athena, and Asia Dow; great grandchildren Jacob, Noah, Kamden, Miley, and Whitley. She was predeceased by her sister Charlotte Ann Orrell and survived by loving sisters Billie Ferris (Bernie) and Terri Lynn Orrell; and several nieces and nephews.

Mary Ann was an avid bowler and a member of the 600 Club. She enjoyed knitting, embroidery, gardening, trips to the casino, and word search puzzles. She was kind and generous, donating hundreds of scarves and prayer shawls to various charities and cancer centers. She was selfless, a beautiful soul, always willing to help those in need or lend an ear and give advice in challenging times. Family was everything to Mary Ann and her family will cherish the many, many memories of gatherings filled with stories of good times past and laughter coupled with an abundance of deliciously prepared meals and signature desserts. She took care of everyone around her, may God take care of her now.

The family would like to thank the staff of the Harold Leever Center, especially Dr. Kert Sabbath for the kindness and care provided to Mary Ann. The family would also like to thank Compassos Hospice, especially nurses Darleen and Karen for their kindness, care and compassion.
