On Thursday, May 29, 2025, Roseanne J. "Rosie" (Thomas) Elliott, 76 of Waterbury, CT, made a triumphant return to be with her Lord and savior. Though her family and friends' hearts are heavy, we have peace knowing she has been made whole after a warrior's journey through cancer.
Rosie was born in Waterbury on January 27, 1949 to the late Theodore J. Thomas Sr. & Rose Mary (Papa) Thomas. She graduated from Kennedy High School and received her Associates degree at Naugatuck Valley Community College.

Rosie was gifted at many things and went on to own a successful florist shop, act in countless community theatre shows and become a published poet and author all while sustaining a thriving career at Waterbury Hospital as Program Director for the Department of Medicine where she was a respected and beloved fixture.
She was always thinking of her community: from coaching her daughter's cheer squad to serving on her church worship team, to using her artistic skills to paint stones with encouraging quotes for fellow cancer patients. Her friends and family count themselves lucky to be able to miss her silliness, childlike heart, beauty & tenacity.
