Paving To Continue In Downtown Naugatuck: Public Works
Paving work is scheduled to take place this week in downtown Naugatuck, which will affect traffic in the area, according to Public Works.

NAUGATUCK, CT — Paving work is scheduled to take place for the rest of the week in downtown Naugatuck, which will affect traffic in the area, according to Public Works.
In a Facebook post, the department said paving will occur on Water Street to Millville Avenue, Church Street from Division Strert to Millville Avenue, Cedar Street and Meadow Court.

Pavement striping work will take place once paving is done.
During this time, Water Street from Maple Street north to the Post Office will become a one-way road going northbound. Additional parking stalls will also be added to Water Street.

Water Street one way is part of the overall downtown project, according to Public Works. This is being done to improve pedestrian safety and to reduce the traffic accidents due to limited sight lines.
This new traffic pattern is expected to occur before Friday, Nov. 15, according to Public Works.
