Naugatuck Police: Woman Accused of Violating Protective Order

Police say the woman sent a text message and an email to the victim, which violated the protective order.

Naugatuck Police say they arrested a Waterbury woman Saturday, Aug. 15 at around 8 p.m. for allegedly violating an order of protection.

Investigation led to the arrest of Amber Richardson, 34, of Waterbury, police say.

She is accused of contacting the victim via email and text message, which was a violation of an active protective order, police say.

Richardson is charged with criminal violation of a protective order, and criminal violation of a protective order: threatening or trespassing, police say.

She was scheduled to appear at Waterbury Superior Court Aug. 17 and was released on a $5,000 non-surety bond, police say.
