Joyce A. Lafo, 91, widow of Francis E. Lafo, Sr., died Feb. 9, 2025, at Waterbury Hospital; born Nov. 17, 1933, in Waterbury, CT, she worked as a bookkeeper at Marshall’s for many years and enjoyed bingo, playing cards, UConn basketball, and the Dallas Cowboys.

Susan Jane (Kaminski) Janik, 69, wife of Stanley Janik, died unexpectedly on Feb. 17, 2025, in New Haven; born Mar. 6, 1955, in Waterbury, CT, to Anthony F. Kaminski, Sr., and Mary (Yablonski) Kaminski, she worked as an office manager and personnel manager, retired in her 40s, and spent her time camping in Rhode Island, clamming, fishing, cutting firewood, horseback riding, traveling across the U.S., cooking award-winning baked goods, cheering for the UConn Huskies, and vacationing in Myrtle Beach.

Carol Anne Crean, 84, died Feb. 14, 2025; born Nov. 28, 1940, in Bronxville, NY, she worked as a registered nurse for 59 years in hospitals, occupational health, and schools, enjoyed family gatherings, birdwatching, scenic drives, and time with friends, and was known for helping others with errands, medical appointments, and support.

William "Bill" Calvin Bowser Sr., 86, died Feb. 19, 2025; born Nov. 20, 1938, in Punxsutawney, PA, he worked as a cross-country truck driver and construction mechanic and enjoyed time with his twelve grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
