Road Closures Announced For Naugatuck Fireworks, Festival 2025: Police
Police have announced the following road closures ahead of Naugatuck's annual Fourth of July festival and fireworks.

NAUGATUCK, CT — Police have announced a number of road closures ahead of Naugatuck's annual Fourth of July festival and fireworks scheduled for Friday.
In a Facebook post Thursday afternoon, police said the annual event will take place in downtown Naugatuck from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. featuring "music, food, fun and fireworks."
The fireworks are set to begin around 9:15 p.m. and will be launched from Breen Field, according to police.

Officers, as well as Naugatuck fire, EMS, fire police and CERT, will be on hand to help with safety and traffic control during and after the event, police said.

The following roads will close Friday at the following times, according to police:
- 3 p.m. – Old Firehouse Road and Church Street (Maple Street to Rubber Avenue).
- 4 p.m. – Hotchkiss Street and Breen Field (residents and authorized personnel only).
- 9 p.m. – Maple Street, Salem Bridge and Route 8 South Exit 25B (closed until traffic clears).
"Come celebrate safely and enjoy the show," police wrote on Facebook.
