NAUGATUCK, CT β€” When times are tough, heroes emerge. We all know someone who's making a difference right now as we live through unprecedented and changing times.

Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these heroes making a difference in their communities. Together with Ring, we’re working to let all your neighbors know about these outstanding people and their stories.

This submission comes from Cheryl Ondeka who nominated Pat and Suzanne Crean of Naugatuck.

Relationship to nominee: Friend

Reason for recognition: My friend has been working as a Registered Physical Therapist since the beginning of the pandemic. She cannot take any extra jobs to supplement her income now.

One thing to know: She is one of the most selfless and kind people I have ever met. She has 2 children she adopted from Russia. She helps in the community and is a Eucharistic Minister in her church.
