Teen Driver Hurt After Crashing Into Brick Wall In Waterbury: PD

Police said the motorist sustained serious injuries in the accident.

WATERBURY, CT β€” A 17-year-old motorist was injured late Saturday night after crashing into a brick wall.

Sgt. Joseph Morais said the accident happened around 10:59 p.m.

According to Morais, an Infinity G36 was traveling southbound on Wolcott Street at a high rate of speed when the driver lost control and struck a brick wall at 541 Wolcott St.

The teen driver was taken to a local hospital for treatment of serious, but not life-threatening, injuries, police said.

Police did not release the driver’s identity as of Monday.
