WATERBURY, CT — A Waterbury resident is $25,000 richer after purchasing a winning lottery ticket at a local business, according to the Connecticut Lottery.
On Monday, the resident purchased a winning "$1,000,000 Gold" ticket at A Bonds LLC in Waterbury and won $25,000, according to the Connecticut Lottery.

The CT Lottery has changed its policy on announcing winners by not including the winners' full names on the list in order to protect them from potential scams, according to officials.
