Downtown New Haven Bar Pays $9K Fine, Has License Suspended By State
Rumaj Lounge, 216 Crown St., paid a fine and will be shuttered for days for violations including serving to minors and failure to cooperate.
NEW HAVEN, CT —Downtown nightspot Rumaj Lounge was hit with a $9,000 fine and a three-day suspension by the state for a number of violations, records show.
The state Department of Consumer Protection Liquor Control Commission handed the Crown Street nightclub a suspension that begins Feb. 29 through March 3.
According to a notice from commissioner Bryan Cafferelli, the bar's liquor permit is suspended for infractions including consumer bar violation, failure to cooperate, sale to minor, and minor in the barroom.

It's noted that the nightclub, at 216 Crown St., has paid its $9,000 fine.
The lounge opened in October 2022, per its social media.
