The driver of a 2012 Toyota registered to a Hamden resident was killed in a crash on I-95 in New Haven in the pre-dawn hours Monday: Police
NEW HAVEN, CT — As yet unidentified, the driver of a 2012 Toyota Tundra registered to a Hamden resident was killed in a fiery Interstate 95 crash in New Haven Monday, state police said.
According to a Connecticut State Police report, it was around 3 a.m. when the Toyota, traveling in the right-hand shoulder of the northbound highway near exit 44, struck the rear of a stopped tow truck and became "fully engulfed in flames."
The truck driver, from New York, and their passenger were not injured, the report reads.

State police have not identified the driver killed in the pre-dawn crash, they said, due to the extent of the driver's injuries.
