Obituary: Angel Luís “Macho” Laureano, 61, of New Haven

Angel, loving known as "Macho", worked many years as a machinist for numerous companies and was a devoted family man.

NEW HAVEN, CT - (From Washington Memorial Funeral Home) Angel Luís “Macho” Laureano, 61, of New Haven died suddenly at his home on Sunday, September 26, 2021. Macho was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico on May 30, 1960, a son of the late Antonio and Eleuteria Laureano, and had resided in New Haven for the past fifty one years.

He was a machinist for the former Automatic Fastener, Inc. Company of Branford for 20 years, then for Uretek, LLC of New Haven for fifteen years, and for the past two years had been employed at Neighborhood Works-New Horizons.

Macho is survived by three children, Celina Laureano and Angel Louis (La Toya) Laureano of New Haven and Madia Laureano of Hamden, two sisters, Eva Laureano of New Haven and Mymarlee Negrón of Philadelphia, PA, two brothers, José Antonio Laureano of Bridgeport and Hector Laureano of Meriden, nine grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

He was predeceased by his brother William Roman. Macho’s family will receive relatives and friends on Friday, October 1st from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Washington Memorial Funeral Home, 4 Washington Ave., North Haven.

A funeral service will take place at the funeral home at 12:00. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, New Haven.
