Obituary: John Corda Jr, 93, of New Haven
An Army veteran, he owned New Haven Grinding, worked at Pratt & Whitney, and he was a Knights of Columbus Third Degree Knight since 1964.
John Corda Jr, 93 of New Haven died peacefully surrounded by his family at CT Hospice on February 10, 2024. John was born in New Haven to the late John and Rose Corda. He was the loving husband of the late Carmellita Corda. John was the owner and operator of New Haven Grinding for many years, and also worked at Pratt & Whitney Aircraft. He was a Third Degree Knight with the Knights of Columbus since 1964. John proudly served in the United States Army.
John is survived by his daughter Linda Santanelli of East Haven, his grandchildren Charles and Michael (Heather) Santanelli, his great granddaughter Ella, his nieces and nephews Albert Corda, Roseann Corda (Robert) Stetzer, Joseph (Jane) Corda and Scott Corda. Besides his wife, he was predeceased by his brothers Michael, Mario, Joseph, and Anthony Corda.

John’s funeral procession will leave the East Haven Memorial Funeral Home on WEDNESDAY February 14, 2024 at 930 for a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00AM at St. Pio of Pietrelcina- St. Vincent DePaul Church 80 Taylor Ave East Haven, CT. Calling hours will be held at the funeral home on TUESDAY February 13, 2024 from 5pm-7pm. Burial will immediately follow Mass where he will be laid to rest next to his wife in Beaverdale Memorial Park in New Haven.
