Teens, 14, 19, Shot Monday Night At Party In Munson Street Lot: Police

NEW HAVEN, CT —It was just before 8 p.m. when cops were called to a report about a shooting on Munson Street near Mansfield Street, police said.

When officers arrived, they found two gunshot victims in the driveway of a house on Munson Street, a 14-year-old and a 19-year-old, according to New Haven police. Taken to Yale New Haven Hospital, police said their injuries were non-life threatening.

Police said that the "crime scene was located in a large parking lot on Munson Street," adding that witnesses told investigators that there was a "large party in the parking lot at the time of the shooting."

At the time of the shooting, Yale University sent out an alert to the university community, cautioning people to avoid the area.
