10 Displaced, Firefighter Injured In New Milford Blaze

Ten people were displaced from a home when fire hit a New Milford home Thursday morning. The cause of the blaze is under investigation.

NEW MILFORD, CT — Ten people were displaced and a firefighter was injured in a blaze Thursday morning, according to the New Milford Fire Marshal's Office.

Firefighters were called to a fire at a Wellsville Avenue home Thursday at 4:58 a.m. They arrived to find heavy smoke and fire showing from the first floor extending to the second floor.

Everyone in the house evacuated safely.

One firefighter suffered a minor injury and was treated at the scene of the fire.

Ten people living in the home were displaced by the fire, and the American Red Cross was called in to assist.
