Aquarion Announces Water Main Cleaning Project For New Milford

BRIDGEPORT, CONN. – September 26, 2017 – Aquarion Water Company announced a water main cleaning project that will begin Monday, October 2, in New Milford. The cleaning will continue through Thursday, October 19, to ensure that customers continue to receive the highest quality water.

This project should last approximately three weeks and, during that time, customers might notice some discoloration in their water. This discoloration results from the temporary disturbance of the water flow, which stirs up naturally occurring minerals that settle in water mains.

Customers are encouraged to store tap water in the refrigerator ahead of time for drinking and cooking. And, if the water is discolored, delay washing clothes until it is clear.
