BREAKING: Hazardous Weather Outlook Issued for New Milford

NEW MILFORD, CT — The National Weather Service has issued a "Hazardous Weather Outlook" for Sunday July 31, 2016. Isolated, "non-severe" thunderstorms and heavy rainfall is expected Sunday night which could result in flooding.

The rest of the week's forecast is as follows:

Tonight: Periods of rain and possibly a thunderstorm, mainly before midnight, then a chance of rain and thunderstorms after midnight. Some of the storms could produce heavy rain. Low around 68. East wind 6 to 8 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

Monday: A chance of rain and thunderstorms. Some of the storms could produce heavy rain. Cloudy, with a high near 80. East wind around 6 mph. Chance of precipitation is 50%. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Monday Night: Scattered showers. Cloudy, with a low around 66. East wind around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.

Tuesday: Isolated showers before noon. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 81. Northeast wind around 7 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20%.
