The world-famous Harlem Wizards are coming to put a full-court press on New Milford’s Greenwave Community.
Known for their basketball hijinks, the Wizards will square off against a freshly rostered Greenwave team made up of teachers and staff from the town’s schools.
The game is scheduled for February 7 at the New Milford High School, 388 Danbury Rd. The game begins at 4 p.m., doors open at 3 p.m.
The Wizards can turn a basketball game into a Broadway show using spectacular dunks, tricks, music, comedy, dancing and audience participation. They performed in more than 450 communities across the country last season and helped raise more than $3 million for schools.
Proceeds will benefit Schaghticoke Middle School’s PTO, supporting educational activities, field trip transportation, enrichment programs and teacher appreciation at the middle school. In addition, other New Milford school PTOs that choose to participate in the event will receive a share of the ticket sales that are attributed to their schools.
