DUI Checkpoint Announced In New Milford: PD
Police have announced a DUI checkpoint that will take place in New Milford.
NEW MILFORD, CT — The New Milford Police Department has announced a DUI checkpoint that will take place on Friday, Sept. 5.
The checkpoint will take place from 7 p.m. to 3 a.m. on Danbury Road, in the area between Larson Road and Candlewood Lake Road South, according to police.
“We have partnered with the State of Connecticut and the Department of Transportation taking part in a DUI Enforcement Grant,” police wrote in a post on Facebook. “We have been conducting unannounced extra DUI enforcement patrol shifts at night looking for signs of impairment and violations for the past several months.

“For a dedicated DUI Check Point such as this we do have specific public notice requirements as all law enforcement departments in the state do, set by law.”
