Five Below Charts Opening This Month In New Milford

NEW MILFORD, CT — Discount retailer Five Below will open a store at the Litchfield Crossings Plaza in New Milford this month, The News-Times reported.

The store will occupy the space on the south side of Home Goods at the 169 Danbury Road shopping center.

Work on the space including installing new fixtures and finishes and changing the storefront. A building permit for the $250,000 project was issued in June, according to The News-Times.

This summer, the store was put on an "accelerated schedule" for opening. The store is filling a spot that's been vacant since the plaza was constructed.

Litchfield Crossings Plaza is home to several other national-brand retailers like TJ Maxx, Petco, and Kohl's.

Five Below currently has 23 stores in Connecticut. The retailer was founded in 2002 and now has more than 900 stores in 36 states. Most of Five Below's products are priced $1 to $5.

The store is described as a "leading high-growth value retailer offering trend-right, high-quality products loved by tweens, teens and beyond," according to a statement from the company.
