July 4th 2022: Find Fireworks Near New Milford

NEW MILFORD, CT —After two years of cancellations and modifications, residents in cities and counties across the country are looking forward to many of the traditional Independence Day activities that mark the summer holiday. July 4 is tomorrow, so there’s still time to find out what Fourth of July fireworks and festivities are going on near you in 2022.

We have all the fireworks shows, parades and festivals happening in and around New Milford so you can start planning now.

Here's what's in store this July 4 in New Milford:

New Milford Fireworks
What: The 2022 New Milford Fireworks Celebration will be held on Friday, July 1st with a rain date of Saturday, July 9th.

When: Friday, July 1, starting at 6:30 p.m.
Where: New Milford Town Green. For more information, go to the town's website.

Candlewood Lake Fireworks
What: The Danbury Volunteer Fire Department will be sponsoring the city's annual Independence Day fireworks display on June 25. Rain date is June 26.

Where: Candlewood Lake
When: Fireworks will commence at dusk.

Ridgefield High School Fireworks
What: Fairfield County Bank is sponsoring fireworks in Ridgefield on July 9.
Where: Ridgefield High School, 700 North Salem Road. Parking passes are $20 per car, and available at Town Hall, Fairfield County Bank and online here.
When: July 9. Gates open at 6 p.m.

Ridgefield Fire Department Annual Carnival
What: The Ridgefield Volunteer Fire Department's Annual Carnival will conclude with a pyrotechnics display on Saturday night.
Where: East Ridge Middle School Field, at 10 East Ridge Road.
When: The carnival runs June 22-25, from 6-10 p.m., with fireworks launching at dusk on June 25. Fireworks will be visible from anywhere near the carnival grounds.
